The Evil God of Hogwarts

Chapter 159 Warehouse

The two walked out of St. Mungo's. Xing Ze looked at the address on the book and asked Ellie, "What do you think?"

The eldest lady replied with some surprise: "Are you asking for my opinion? This is really strange. I thought I just needed to obey your command."

"You are a member of the team. And I am not omniscient and omnipotent." Xing Ze patted the notebook, "Ace's little girlfriend told me that Manel Mendez will invite some wizards to his party.

"They would talk about weird stuff at the party. Unsettling stuff. I'm now curious about what the mayor was doing."

Ellie frowned. She thought for a while and said, "Let's go see what the painter left behind first. I was thinking, since we are a team, why not get to know each other.

"This allows us to exchange the clues we have obtained and put forward different opinions. Maybe this will allow us to find out something from it."

"We thought about it together." Xing Ze laughed, "Indeed, it's time for you to meet each other."

Skrtel rented a small warehouse in a small town near the village of Ravenska.

Ellie asked the Thestral carriage to take them near the town called Posada, and then they walked into the town and spent a while to find the warehouse.

"Ladies first." Xing Ze took a few steps back.

Ellie snorted softly, and then cast a spell to open the door of the warehouse. It was very dark inside, and the sunlight could barely shine a few steps away from the door.

The eldest lady cast another spell, lighting up the entire warehouse.

"Look at this." Xing Ze was attracted by a watercolor painting in the warehouse. The scenery in the painting was the office building where the murder occurred. "I bet this must have made the Sheriff identify the target."

Ellie didn't dwell too much on the painting, but walked towards the things covered with white cloth in the middle of the warehouse.

She stretched out her hand and pulled off the white cloth. There was also a painting, and in the painting was a strange shadow painted with black paint.

"Don't stare at it." Xing Ze quickly stepped forward and covered the painting again, "Remember what I told you? Dreams will pollute your sanity."

Ellie let out a long breath. The moment she lifted the white cloth, she felt as if something was pinching her neck. It wasn't until Xing Ze covered the painting again that the feeling disappeared.

"Are you okay?" The eldest lady asked Xing Ze, "Just now, just now I..."

"Everyone has different resistance to pollution. It's your first time coming into contact with dream objects, so it's not surprising that you would have such a strong reaction."

Ellie bit her lip reluctantly, "You said this painting came from a dream?"

Xing Ze shook his head and replied: "Of course not. The unclean things in the painting are the real cause of your discomfort.

“In my experience, dream objects cannot be described, understood, or touched.

“Although that thing has been drawn, our brains cannot further understand its existence, so we gradually lose our minds.

"It's not unreasonable for your father to want me to stop you from investigating further. Miss Shafiq, you still have a chance to escape now, because once you meet other people, they will talk about much more than this."

"Don't try to persuade me to quit." Ellie said firmly, "Let's look for any useful clues."

Xing Ze shrugged helplessly and began to search in the warehouse.

Just now, he also saw the shadow in the painting. It was similar to what Colin said, like a giant spider or a centipede raising its body.

It is quite inconsistent and uncomfortable for these two completely different biological forms to appear at the same time.

After spending half an hour searching, they found Harvey's diary, as well as many notes and information compiled by the Sheriff's investigation.

"We take away the necessary things," Xing Ze said, "and then burn the painting."

"These notes." Ellie opened a copy of Skrtel's notes. "They record a lot of things, and the matter will involve a lot of people. I'm starting to worry about Skrtel's family."

"You can take them to your home. I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to kill people at the Shafiq family's estate."

"That's a good idea." Ellie nodded, "I'll go find them later."

"So, do you want to study notes or diary?" Xing Ze asked, waving the diary in his hand.

"I'm not very good at dealing with crazy people." Ellie said, putting the note into her pocket. "You asked me for my opinion before, so now tell me yours."

Xing Ze smiled, "I thought we could talk on the way back. Well, I think the Mendez family is plotting something, and their wizard gathering is suspicious.

“Similarly, the wizards in Ravenska Village are very suspicious, especially those close to the Mendez family.

"Considering what Skrtel said, most of the wizards in town listened to Manel. I suspect that Harvey's disappearance was a premeditated kidnapping. That Ernest healer deserves investigation ”

"Then I will take time to chat with him tomorrow."

"No, no, no." Xing Ze waved his hand and said, "Stop alarming the enemy, Miss Shafiq. The other party already knows that we are investigating them, so they will definitely be very cautious. Don't expect him to say anything to you.

"What's more, a therapist can't do kidnapping. The most he can do is sign his name on the discharge procedures, or open the door for his companions."

The eldest lady's face darkened and she whispered: "You mean there is someone else, could it be another staff member in the hospital?"

"I'm not sure either. I hope the diary and notes can give us the answer."

In the next few days, Xing Ze read Harvey's diary. When the painter was sane, he could still understand some of what he wrote.

But if he goes crazy, the contents of the diary will not only be difficult to understand, but also have a lot of smears.

Things went smoothly for Ellie. Skrtel was a police officer after all, and his notes were logical and well-organized, making them a pleasure to read.

So, on a quiet afternoon, Ally went to Xing Ze with the clues she compiled from her notes.

Of course, all this had to be hidden from Barrow Foley, although the strong man had become a lot more honest after what happened last time. But Xing Ze was worried that he would report everything about Ellie to Albert.

He felt a headache when he thought about having to face the unsmiling executive director.

"Based on his notes," Ellie said quickly, "there is a pattern in the disappearances in Ravenska Village."

"once three years?"

"You know?" Ellie frowned.

"Don't worry about this. Is there anything else?" Xing Ze asked. They didn't have much time and could only spare a little time after lunch.

"When will we meet?" Ellie suddenly asked an irrelevant question.

"Well - two days later." Xing Ze replied, "Do you want to wait until the meeting?"

"I need something in your arsenal that can fit in."

"Time waits for no one, Miss Shafiq."

"Trust me, they're worth the wait."
