The Ancient Genes

Chapter 727 - Wilson Vs Derek

"Sir, please head to Room 201 on the 9th Floor." The receptionist smiled at Wilson.

Wilson looked at her and nodded. It was obvious that this lady had recognized him. It seemed that Anna had been waiting for him. The thought made complicated feelings to welled up in Wilson's heart.

He had been nothing but a cause of misfortune for her, but that girl. Instead of blaming him, she was still waiting for him.

He slowly took the stairs and began to go up to the 9th floor. He didn't know why he didn't take the elevator, but something seemed to slow him down to see her again.

In his heart, he didn't want to wait even for a second, but somewhere he was afraid…

What was he supposed to say to her?

Apologise?

Smile?

Confess his love once again?

With thoughts in mind Wilson reached the 9th floor, and suddenly, his body froze.

She was right in front of him.

Anna too stood there in front of her room with tears in her eyes. She had obviously received the information that Wilson was here. Hence, she had been eagerly waiting for him.

There was one thing odd about her though. There were bruises all over her body for some reason, and even her dress seemed to have torn apart at places.

"A-"

Before Wilson could say anything, a hand appeared from inside the room.

"Ah!' Anna screamed, but she was already thrown inside.

"Slam!"

A person walked out of the room, and closed the door behind him.

This guy had brown hair, with a long scar on his face. What was very peculiar about him was the fact that he had a prosthetic instead of one of his arms.

"Anna!!" Wilson's figure flashed as lightning sizzled around him, and within a second, he was in front of the person.

"Bang!"

Wilson's eyes turned grim, when the person stopped his punch with ease.

"Is this it?" The Brown haired guy asked with a smile as flames busted through his fist and forced Wilson to retreat.

"Who are you?" Wilson glared at the guy with murderous intentions leaking out of him.

"Oh my..you sure are ready to kill?" The person asked with a smile.

This guy was someone many people were familiar with.

It was Derek.

The Disciple of Leo Von, August's brother.

"What did you do to her?" Wilson asked as the lightning sizzling around his body began to wreak havoc.

"Why don't you ask her? Or do you not need her anymore?" Derek asked with a smile.

"Fine, I will kill you first."

"Crackle!"

Wilson activated his true spell, and the next instant, all the windows of the building shattered.

"Whoosh!"

Derek's eyes constricted as he immediately pulled his sword, and it clashed with Wilson's lightning trident.

"Clang!"

The two of them exchanged several blows and neither could come to any conclusion. This made both Wilson and Derek frown. He definitely wasn't liking this.

"What are you so angry about? Didn't you expect it already when you came to this place?" Derek snorted, and a frown appeared on Wilson's face.

"Everyone knows the tragic story of that girl. What were you expecting honestly? I can't believe you still have the guts to show your face here and with some ridiculous expectations? Didn't she enter this hell because of you? What were you expecting from her by coming here?"

"Swish!"

A hole suddenly opened up in Wilson's defence, and Derek didn't give up on it. His blade went slicing into that weak point, and sliced a good chunk on Wilson's chest, dying his clothes red.

Derek looked at him in disdain. He had already asked Anna to give up those stupid fantasies of her. But, it seemed someone had to open her eyes for her. The sweet dreams that she wished for didn't exist. At least not in the world that Derek had lived.

And, if by some miracle, it did exist, then he really wanted to see it for once. But, Wilson sure was disappointing him today.

"Clang!"

"What's wrong? Can't retort anymore?"

"Clang!"

Derek repeatedly struck Wilson who seemed to have gone silent, and was being forced into a corner.

"That girl said you would love her in any situation even as she went through hell, but it didn't seem to be true.."

"You are not that kind of person, I guess.." Derek pierced his blade forward as he continued to break Wilson's mind.

But, suddenly, Wilson raised his palm and allowed the blade to pierce through it.

"Shank!"

Derek's face changed as he tried to pull the blade back, but Wilson clenched his fist and refused to let it go.

"Bang!"

A fist enclad in lightning suddenly landed on Derek's face. It was so fast that he could only see a purple flash before he felt a pain on his face.

"Ah.." Derek staggered backwards holding his nose as he looked at Wilson.

"You really dared to say all kind of shit.." Wilson raised his head to look at him even as blood dripped down his body. "Do you think I don't have an idea what she might have to go through?"

"Do you think I don't know that it was my fault?"

"Do you think I don't know that I don't deserve to be with her?"

Derek was taken back and surprised by Wilson's words, "Then why are you here?"

"Because I refuse to admit any of it even if they are true. Because, if I do, I won't have the qualifications to stand here. My words may not make sense, but I don't care. This is how I do things.."

"As for what is going to happen between me and Anna. It's for us to decide. Me standing here is already my decision, now I want to know hers.."

"And, I will kill anyone who dares to stop me.." Wilson's body began to gather a charge, and it immediately made the hair on Derek's body to rise.

He was going to let Wilson go, but now..

He changed his mind.

He wanted to know what this was.

"Enough!"
