Outrageous Summoner

End of this testimonial

Well, it is very short, I know, it is indeed the shortest book among the books I have written. But it shouldn't be too sudden to end here?

In fact, it should be obvious from the early stage that this book will not be a very long book. Of course, according to the original plan, it should still be a little longer than it is now.

As the first original transformational work, the performance of this book on the shelves has reached expectations, and it has also successfully won the badge of Qidian Boutique Channel. I am very grateful to all the readers who have given subscription support, thank you very much!

It is a pity that the results failed to stabilize after it was put on the shelves, and many problems were naturally exposed.

Looking back now and looking at the whole process of this book from the initial planning stage to the present, I personally concluded the core and biggest problem-I don’t know if any book friends have seen it during the period, that is, it was originally a book. Play cards.

That's right, the card-playing text in the literal sense, as I mentioned in the final testimonial of Duel City, a world view, rule system, and card design are all original card-playing texts.

Among them, the designs of Shuling, Spell Cards, and Trap Cards are obviously borrowed from Yu-Gi-Oh, and the rule system is also based on Yu-Gi-Oh, combined with elements of other card games, including the upgrade of Jue Ling and the summoning of spirits. The system is also very obvious that it should be the rules of playing cards.

Even the duel design of the battles in the first few chapters I had already done.

But when I tentatively put forward this idea in the final testimonial of Duel City, most of the book friends in the chapter reviews at that time said they were not optimistic. Everyone feels that an original card game may be very unimaginative to read.

But I didn't give up at that time, I still finished the first draft first. Later, I submitted the manuscript to the editor, and the editor also said that he had never seen this kind of subject matter in the online literature market, and he did not recommend it.

Afterwards, I discussed it with familiar authors, and everyone felt that the risk was too great and they might jump.

So I made a substantial modification on this basis, modifying it from a card-playing story to a more traditional card text combined with beast-fearing elements.

And so this book was released.

I didn't realize it when I first opened the pit, but the more I wrote it, the more problems caused by this setting change.

Because it is a very bold attempt to create an original card-playing text, so I tried to make the story as routine as possible when designing the plot, and fit the online text market.

To put it simply, it’s new wine in old bottles, using as classic and old-fashioned routines as possible to write a completely original card-playing story. I think this can somewhat increase readers’ acceptance of this adventurous attempt.

So many people may find that there will be a lot of changes in the style of this book than the one I made before. I try to incorporate elements of popular classics as much as possible to make my niche subjects more acceptable.

Whether that will work or not I have no way of knowing. Because when the final draft was finalized, the card-playing system of the original case had been abandoned.

I replaced the new wine with the old wine, so the effect was greatly reduced.

Of course, a work is meant to be written for people to see. No matter what the original draft is, what factors are affected during the creation period, the finished product is what it is, and any shortcomings are shortcomings.

Moreover, when I did the survey, I found that most people were not optimistic about the plan to design a card game. So even if it was really written out according to the original draft regardless of the opinions of others, the market may not accept it, and the results may not be better than now.

This also involves me realizing another mistake I made in this book.

Back then, Giants of Light was my first work, and Duel City was my first book. What the two books had in common when they were first published was that no one liked them at first.

The theme elements of Ultraman did not become popular at the beginning of the meeting when the giant of light opened the pit. Although it is not without writers, but at that time there were no high-quality works. (now available)

Integrating Ultraman into the Marvel elements that were popular at the time was actually a bit dangerous. As I mentioned in the testimonial of that book, the first draft was also rejected by several editors, and it was almost aborted. I never expected to kill this boutique in the end. And if I remember correctly, it should be the first boutique book on Ultraman elements from the starting point.

Not to mention Duel City. If it is said that the book Giant of Light at least borrowed the Marvel background of the fire at that time, then the starting point of a pure Yu-Gi-Oh novel like Duel City was ridiculously small.

Even the editor who was already close to me at the time poked me in a private message when she received the manuscript, asking me if I had thought it through carefully, because she felt that this kind of niche subject matter would be rushed ninety-nine out of ten.

Later, everyone also knew that Duel City was not only the first Yu-Gi-Oh masterpiece, but also the first million copies. It has been in the top ten of the light novel bestseller list for several months in a row.

The point is that although my previous books were niche, they were all things I was interested in and things I wanted to write. It's the kind of overwhelming passion that surges up when you pick up the pen, and you can't wait to turn all inspirations into stories.

This is the second problem with this book, lack of passion.

Many authors may encounter such problems. Everyone may have entered the pit because of interest at first, because they wanted to write a story they liked and tell the story to more like-minded people, so they started to write. But as time goes by, when the initial passion wears off, everyone will inevitably have expectations for better data and better results.

So in order to achieve better results, we began to study the direction of the wind, began to learn to compromise, to study and adapt to the market. This is an essential link and step. During this period, we will learn skills and understand the preferences of the market, but at the same time we may lose our original things.

To write a story that moves people, you must first be moved by your own story.

This was one of the biggest mistakes I made during the writing of this book, and I will try not to make it again.

In addition, I also found some writing problems this time, and learned a lot of technical things, which can be regarded as a harvest.

The new book should be released as soon as possible, but the subject matter is yet to be determined.

Recently, I was addicted to listening to Baye's new song "M87", and I was almost on the verge of intracranial circulation. However, there is no approval letter for the introduction of the new Ultraman movie in China, and the resources cannot be found. Without Brother Man, I feel like ten thousand Jaytons are crawling all over my body.

Maybe try to go back and open the Bentosh related?

Let's talk about it, let's see where we can find passion and motivation in these two days.

But anyway, thank you very much for the support of every book friend. Hope to bring you better works in the future.
