MMORPG: I Can See Hidden Information

Chapter 63 - Battle of the Two Departments

As the last candidate’s tablet test came to an end, the examiner led them all to the admissions office.

They entered the ancient-looking building.

It was then that Fike realized the building was built to be some kind of exhibition hall.

Engraved on the walls were scripts depicting the history of Yogmo Academy.

After walking through the hall, they exited before coming to a cliff.

The examiner said to everyone.

“Everyone, don’t be afraid. What you see here is just a magic barrier that we have set up.

“I believe that everyone can guess the function of this barrier. It is a smokescreen.

“Everyone, please take this next step bravely. Behind this lies the full view of our Yogmo Academy.”

As soon as the examiner had finished speaking, Zelle leapt toward the cliff impatiently.

As her body hit the air, a horizontal barrier shimmered.

Immediately, Zelle disappeared behind it.

Next was Jesper. Following them, everyone jumped in one after another.

Fike was completely composed as his turn came, with no hint of nervousness.

He glanced at Seigne.

“Why don’t you go first? I’ll watch you from behind!”

He could already sense his blonde friend’s apprehension.

Seigne took a deep breath.

Closing his eyes, he ran forward before finally throwing himself into the barrier.

Then, it was Fike’s turn.

His steps were light as he strode forward casually.

His entire figure crossed the barrier with ease.

What lay before him now was the full view of Yogmo Academy.

Hidden from view behind the mystical barrier, the full campus of Yogmo Academy was comparable to the astounding grandiose of the Royal City of Romon itself.

A countless number of towering buildings crowded the skyline.

There was a huge number of people, bustling around everywhere.

The scene hit Fike with an unexpected lash of awe, a feeling that he had never experienced before.

As the examiner led the group forward, Fike noticed a stage that had been built in a patch of open space.

On it, a pair of mage students were competing against each other.

There were countless students cheering them on and shouting beneath it.

“That is one of Yogmo Academy’s traditional programs, free combat. Through free combat, you can accumulate credits. Credits can be used to exchange for a variety of things.”

Noticing his gaze, the examiner explained to Fike.

Fike nodded as he continued to walk forward.

They had now stopped before a huge circular building.

Fike thought to himself that this should be the freshmen service center.

Because Yogmo Academy was always taking on new students, even the relatively insignificant freshmen service center had been built in a somewhat imposing manner.

Walking into the interior of the circular building, a magnificent hall greeted everyone.

“Fanny, please bring these new students through the enrollment procedures.”

“Okay, everyone, please follow me.”

The female teacher named Fanny took over, leading everyone to the freshmen service center in place of the examiner.

They proceeded up to the second floor before going past a huge wooden door.

Soon, they had finally arrived at the freshmen service center.

“Everyone, please register your personal information on this form again. The results of the stone tablet test have already been written on it. Once you’re done, hand them over to me.”

Fike took his form from Fanny and prepared to fill it out.

Suddenly, the heavy wooden doors were shoved open once again.

“Who’s Fike? Come with me!”

Turning his head, Fike saw that an old man with a long, flowing beard had barged in, calling his name.

He raised his hand.

“It’s me.”

The old man’s eyes landed on him before sizing him up carefully.

“Okay, come with me!”

Everyone was puzzled. They didn’t know why Fike had been abruptly called away for no reason.

Zelle was the first to speak.

“Teacher, why is he going with you? Could he have done something wrong?”

The blue-haired girl gloated.

“No, the dean of the Long-range Magic Department simply wants to meet him. Fike, let’s go!”

Hearing this, the smile on Zelle’s face evaporated.

Fike followed the old man out of the building before arriving at another one that looked like a palace.

“Spell School.”

Fike stared at the huge words etched into the front of the building before continuing to follow the old man’s footsteps.

They went up to the third floor of the Spell School, which was the floor of the Long-range Magic Department.

Pushing open a door not far away from where they had arrived, the old man said to Fike.

“Everyone is waiting for you, come in quickly!”

As they walked into the room, Fike spotted two classy middle-aged men who were dressed elegantly.

One of them was the first to speak.

“You must be Fike, right? I’m the head of the Long-range Magic Department, Cisco. I’m very glad that you’ll be joining our big family!”

The other middle-aged man interrupted him.

“Fike, don’t listen to him. Coming to the Healing Magic Department would be the best choice!”

Listening to their negotiations, Fike learned that these two were the heads of their respective magic departments.

One of them was the head of the Long-range Magic Department, Cisco, who had just introduced himself.

The other was the head of the Healing Magic Department, Chambers.

“You have such an excellent priest class, how can you join the mage classes? There’s no doubt that you should come join the rest of the priest classes, that would be for the best!”

Chambers said confidently.

“Didn’t the stone tablet assign him to our Long-range Magic Department? Joining the mage classes would be in his best interests!”

Cisco argued.

At this time, Cisco also turned to look at Fike.

“Fike, honestly, I’m also curious why a priest like you would be assigned to a mage class. Can you think of an explanation?”

Chambers’ eyes had also locked on to Fike.

Fike was silent for a moment, searching for a suitable response. Suddenly, an idea flashed through his mind.

“I’ve accidentally received a spell cultivation method before, and I opened it myself, wanting to take a look. Not long after, I mastered a long-range spell skill.”

Cisco and Chambers gawked at him in surprise.

“You were able to learn a spell skill? That shouldn’t have been possible!”

Cisco calmly asked Fike, “Then can you show us your spell skill?”

Fike smiled confidently.

“Sure!”

The three of them walked out of the Spell Academy, coming to an empty space outside the school.

“Fike, cast your spell on this tree!”

Fike nodded his head lightly in response.

He raised his right hand and shot immediately, without giving himself any time to accumulate power.

A ball of burning flame flew toward the big tree.

In an instant, the whole thing had been reduced to ashes.

Cisco and Chambers were dumbstruck.

Fike himself hadn’t expected for this to happen. He had merely wanted to support his lie, and tried to cast the weakest fireball spell he had.

He hadn’t expected such a devastating effect.

“Casting with his bare hands! And it’s still actually this powerful! Oh my god, this student is surely joining our Long-range Magic Department!”

Cisco exclaimed.

“What are you saying, Cisco? How can the Healing Magic Department let go of such a talent?”

Chambers argued in response.
