Currently, Dante was sitting in the main hall that used to belong to the bandit chief.

Right now, Dante was just playing with a set of rare gemstones, completely caving into his Draconic greed that only seemed to multiply with the addition of each Dragon soul.

Rebecca, who was also sitting at the table, just looked at Dante's enamoured face whenever he held a gem and sighed.

No matter how many times she saw it, she was still always disgusted by her little cousin's unbridled greed.

But even with his terrible flaws, it was still this young man who showed unbelievable strength and talent and had won them this battle.

As Rebecca was thinking this, she looked towards herself in both relief and fear.

She could still remember the moment she woke up and learned about her current situation.

The fact that she had almost died was troubling enough, but learning that there was a terrifying poison in her body that had been sealed in her bones was truly something hard for the young woman to accept.

But within just a few hours, Rebecca had calmed down and collected herself again.

After all, she was a member of the department of war, A warrior of countless battles. So while the truth was shocking, with the help of her experiences, it was still easy to recover.

After dealing with the mental and physical effects of her new condition, Rebecca decided to put most of her focus towards the management of the aftermath of the battle.

At the current moment, she was supposed to taking a break with the rest of the team to discuss the aftereffects of the battle and decide how to move forward from there

It's just that when she looked towards the idiots that she brought with her, it didn't see me as if it was going to be possible.

Dante was absorbed in newly looted treasures. His eyes seemed to gleam in a magical light as he ogled at them, polishing them with a disgusting expression on his face.

Lennox wasn't much better as when Rebecca looked towards him she saw him shovelling food down his throat, barely leaving any time to chew his food before he gulped everything down.

The complete and utter lack of manners and bestial fashion in which he consumed everything made her wonder how he was even from a noble family with a standing above hers.

Klent, on the other hand, appeared to be somewhat better than the other two. He  was sat at the edge of the table with completely plain eyes and was constantly polishing his sword. It's just that when you consider the fact that this was supposed to be a group discussion, this sort of antisocial behaviour wasn't much better than that displayed by the other 2

If you looked at these ragtag bunch of individuals, you would have never predicted that these were the key people who were involved in bringing down the notorious Zrudon bandits!

Before Rebbeca could completely lose all hope, there was a sudden sound at the door

"Knock! Knock!"

"Come in." Said Rebecca lightly .

There was a loud creak as the enormous set of wooden double doors was pushed open.

As soon as the doors opened, a nervous figure could be seen walking in.

He was a large man in thick black armour with a well-developed physique. His black hair was slicked back into a ponytail with the occasional grey streaks showing up to highlight the man's age

"Greetings young nobles. I am here to present the information about the battles."

As soon as Dante heard the man's words, his entire aura seemed to change.

He quickly put away the gems and fixed himself before sitting upright.

He was both the Dragon son and the leader of the expedition after all. He could be lazy and greedy around Klent and the others, but in front of his soldiers, he still had a reputation to maintain.

Of course, once the soldier from earlier entered, he also noticed Dante's strange behaviour, but he simply pretended that he saw nothing.

He was a smart man.

If the boss was acting as if nothing happened, then he would also pretend to be blind.

Calling out a superior was not noble it was simply stupid!

"Cough!"

"My lord, after the battle from today we have made many outstanding results"

After the battle, the full number of casualties has been determined. From the 500 soldiers we brought for the war, 50 have been killed, whilst at least another 30 were severely injured to the point where continued service as a soldier remains impossible. For light injuries, we have numbers nearing 100, but fortunately, with the resources gathered from the bandits, they should be able to recover to full health within the coming days."

Hearing this news, a slight frown appeared on his face, but eventually it faded into a heavy sigh .

The casualties on his side were quite heavy, but it couldn't be helped.

The enemies they faced in battle numbered in the thousands, so all things considered, this was actually a good result.

Dante just sighed as he responded to the general.

"For the dead and seriously injured, give them compensation of 5 gold coins as for the rest of the soldiers increase their earnings by taking a 1/4 of the remaining loot from the bandits and split it between them."

As the general heard Dante's instructions, an awkward expression appeared on his face.

"My lord, it's not that I don't want to follow your orders, it's just that the normal remuneration for the injured is only 1  gold coin, providing 10 gold coins is a bit difficult…"

The general looked towards Dante with a pair of nervous eyes.

He didn't know how the dragon son would react to this statement, but he knew it needed to be said. 4 extra gold coins per injured soldier were not a light sum.

Most average families only used between 2 to 3 silver coins a month.
