I Have Seven Dragon Souls In a cultivation world

210 Chapter 210: New Dragon Soul?

He had seen it before at the awakening of his Silver Dragon.

Dante could even swear he saw a glimpse of the exact same thing during his first awakening

Subconsciously, Dante walked closer and closer towards the gate until his hand was basically touching.

It was at that point the gate shoo

Suddenly a human sized ball of green fire ignited in front of his eyes!

What made this even stranger was that instead of creating warmth that'd you expect from a normal fire, this flame seemed to do the exact opposite.

Instead of warmth, Dante could quite literally feel the warmth slowly leaving his body.

But before Dante could even react, things started getting even weirder.

Dante noticed that the ball of fire seemed to start moving, but not only was it moving, it was rising higher and higher into the sky.

It was only when a second identical ball of green fire appeared that Dante realised that he had gotten things completely wrong from the start.

Those were not balls of fire, they were in fact eye sockets!

"ROAR!"

Before Dante could act, the world shook as a deafeningly loud roar erupted, causing even Dante to wince.

Under the devastating roar, Dante could feel his world spin.

It's just that by the time Dante next opened his eyes again, he found  that his surroundings had changed yet again.

Instead of the vast dark void, he was back on the grassy plains, surrounded by soldiers looking at him with a concerned expression.

But now Dante didn't have time to address everyone's concerns; he had a problem of his own.

"Is that it?" Thought Dante in disbelief as he rapidly opened up his system.

When he went to select the dragon icons, he could see the usual dragon icons of the roaring red dragon and the elegant silver dragon but to his dismay, instead of seeing a new dragon icon all he could see was a dark figure of a dragon with a question mark .

Above it lay a half filled bar that read 40%

"Fuck!" Cursed Dante.

"All that for it to not even reach halfway! That's a scam if I've ever seen one!"

But in the end, Dante just stood up and accepted his fate.

No amount of grumbling and complaining would change what had happened.

Besides, they were about to attack the base of a corpse master. Surely he would have some death elemental treasures.

if even he didn't have any death elemental treasures, then Dante may as well give up hope of finding them anywhere else!

So quickly pushing his frustrations to the side, Dante just spoke some reassuring words to the soldiers and gave them a short break before taking them on the journey once again…

Hours later

Dante was sitting on his horse riding casually when a soldier could be seen rushing towards him from front of the convoy.

"We've done it my Lord! We've arrived at the Bandit camp!"

As soon as Dante heard this, he simply nodded before soaring up into the sky and what Dante saw made him want to curse the makers of the mission.

Extremely high walls, thick stone reinforcements and countless barricades.

What kind of 'camp' was this? It was definitely at least a fortress!

From the reports and other things, Dante had expected some strong defence from the bandits, but he had to admit that he hadn't been expecting it to be to this extent!

If Dante wasn't insistent on bringing the siege weapons with them then he may as well have turned around right then and given up all hope of breaching with his soldiers.

After this quick observation, Dante landed back down.

From the displeased look on his face, everyone could tell he wasn't happy.

"We set up camp here, in addition to this, I need a squadron sent out to assess the bandit fortress in detail. I want every detail about that place in front of me by midnight!"

…..

Many hours later Dante could be seen on a plain in between the bandit fortress and his temporary camp.

His soldiers had already returned from there scouting and given him the rundown

As Dante approached, the fortresses, his thoughts were plain and simple.

The bandits had known for a long time that this attack was coming

Although Dante had sent messages earlier to say he has come up negotiate with the leaders, Dante wasn't a fool

No amount of words would be enough to change the opinion of both the bandit leader and the corpse master.

But that was never his option. Instead, Dante was just going to feel out his enemies.

Dante had been sure of the strength of the bandit Lord from the mission and information of the hidden dragon academy, but just from the recent discoveries, it was clear to tell that the Hidden Dragon Academy was far from all knowing.

It's just that Dante couldn't afford to make any mistakes

The bandits may be under equipped and poorly trained, but even this didn't change the fact that Dante would be fighting a powerful enemy, one he just barely had the confidence to beat based on the information provided.

Despite his seemingly astounding arrogance, Dante wouldn't head to his death.

If he felt that these guys were more powerful than described, he wouldn't hesitate to turn tail and run.

The mission was important, but his life was even more so!

Dante's aim with the meeting was to confirm his information. Anything else he gained from that was just a bonus. And Who knows? Maybe his words might get them to surrender without a fight…

Dante's horse trotted slowly across the vast plain separating the two camps before stopping a distance away from the fortress gates.

It was only after coming a few metres away from the gate that Dante stopped.

Looking up to the giant wall, Dante could see a man looking down at him

He was a man dressed in thick leather armour with a thick dark beard and deep brown eyes
