But Rebecca couldn't share Dante's amusement. As she watched him leave, her expression grew colder and colder until even the village chief was forced to back away from her.

"Would It kill him to explain thing properly for once!" Complained Rebecca

"He's always running around, always running off to do something in secret."

As Rebecca spoke, she could feel her frustration increasing as the temperature around her began to rise at an alarming rate.

It was then that she heard a voice

"Rebecca, are you ok?"

Looking around, she turned to see the young Clay staring at her with a concerned expression on his face.

It was only after seeing Clay's expression that she realised something was wrong with herself.

Taking a deep breath, Rebecca felt herself calm down and stretched out her hand to ruffle the boy's hair

"It's okay, I'm fine… I'm just fine..."

As she said this, Rebecca took as Clay and started moving towards the rest of the villagers to offer her help with their relocation

But as this was going on, everyone failed to notice the anomaly on Rebecca's neck

A strange black energy could be seen flowing through veins, flashing and writhing, almost as if it was alive.

But before anyone could notice this, the strange energy flashed and faded just as quickly as it surfaced.

Rebecca felt chill but looking around, she discovered nothing.

shrugging, she just blamed it on the slight wind and continued with her day unaffected…

Meanwhile, in a dark room far north of the attacked village

A hooded man could be seen smashing things in his office

"God Damn it!" roared the hooded figure.

His arms flailed around, slamming against his desk and sending test tubes flying in all directions!

"That boy! That wretched little boy! How dare he steal my Crystal!" roared the hooded figure

But it wasnt long before the rage of the man slowly turned into panic

"No,no, no!"

"If the Crystal is gone, what do I Tell my Lord? How do I tell my Lord?"

As the man spoke, he began to bite his nails in panic

"If my Lord is disappointed in me, what then?"

"If my Lord chooses another envoy, what then?"

As the man was speaking, he continued biting his nails, not stopping even when blood began to flow down his chin.

"No!" cried the man

"I refuse! I refuse to give up this power!

I refuse to become that weak little boy again!"

All actions have consequences.

Victory is repaid with reward but failure on the other hand….

The Corpse Master's body shivered at the thought of what his fate could possibly be.

And just as the Corpse Master's thoughts were begging to run wild, there was a sudden knock at the door

"Knock! Knock!"

"Who is it?" Asked the corpse master, his voice dripping in anger

Perhaps sensing the irritation in the Corpse Master's Voice, the person on the other side stuttered

"S-sir C-corpse Master. I have been told to call you by the camp leader."

"Oh, is that all… very well then."

hearing this rather tame response, the man on the opposite side of the door sighed in relief.

But before he could retreat even a step, a giant bone spur burst through the door!

The man desperately tried to dodge, but in front of such a monster, his efforts were useless!

The bone spur shot forth, piercing through the man's defence and impaling him straight through the stomach.

"Keke! You can't blame me for this," said the Corpse with his signature sinister laugh.

"if you have anyone to blame, then blame the heavens for giving you such horrible timing1"

The impaled man looked at the Corpse Master and could feel his anger rising.

In that moment, He could feel all his past fears and frustrations from his previous dealings with the corpse Master

Ignoring his impending doom, he sent a rage filled glare at Corpse Master

"Damn you! You little Bast-"

"Uh-uh," interrupted the Corpse Master.

"There will be no curse words in my office."

As the Corpse Master spoke, his usual deranged smile started forming on his face once again.

The impaled man could do nothing other than let out a few guttural croaks, as soon blood poured out of his mouth.

Eventually, the man's breathing stopped as his eyes rolled back.

"Sigh!"

"Truly an unlucky man." Remarked the corpse master

And As he did so, he pulled the bone spur out of the man, causing a black wave of energy to flow towards him

"Ahh…that's the feeling."

Feeling this surge of energy around him, the Corpse Master sighed in pleasure.

As this was all happening, the corpse in front of him began to slowly age and wither, but the corpse master didn't let the corpse age for too long.

"It's not good to waste resources."

As the corpse master said this, he grabbed the body and burst out of the room.

The servants watched on in horror as the Corpse Master dragged a bloody, beaten body through the fortress hallways.

The countless looks of horror were simply brushed of by the Corpse Master. Such mere looks of horror weren't enough to faze a true madman.

Soon the Corpse master came to a dark tunnel leading underground.

For good reason, all servants were avoiding this place like the plague.

Taking a deep breath, the corpse Master collected himself and descended down the stairs.

After merely a few steps, it was as if the corpse master had entered a new world

A vile, crooked aura could be felt radiating around this underground path, but the corpse Master walked on.

It was then that Corpse Master seemed to enter a new area. A vast open space of underground cavern, but this wasn't a normal cavern

The underground seemed to be covered by a red hue at all times. And this hue wasn't even the most disturbing thing! In the centre of the cavern was a giant pit filled with surging blood!
