Seeing such a small boy dash past them, the villagers panicked as they tried to stop him from running to his death!

"God Damn it!" cried one of the guards as they rushed to grab him, but the next sight shocked him.

The kid dashed towards a raging zombie almost double his size and raised his burning short sword and brought it down.

There was no finesse or elegance in his movements. They were even riddled with novice mistakes, but this dint affect the kid in the slightest because as soon as the sword hit the zombie's chest, there was a deafening explosion of fire!

"Bang!"

A burst of orange flames could be seen as the zombie's upper body flew off its waist!

A kid, one barely even half the size of most soldiers, had just blasted a zombie in half!

If the guards hadn't seen it with their eyes, they would never believe it!

But even with that, Clay wasn't done.

His furious red eyes locked onto the nearest zombie as he charged forth

"Die!"Cried Clay

"For my village, you must die!"

Seeing this, the guards were shocked.

A kid, one not even half their age, was willing to rush forward and risk his life for the village. How could they, the protectors of the village, the village guards, just sit back and passively defend?

If a kid could fight, then so could they!

Clay's display of power stimulated something inside of them, causing their blood to burn as hot as the very flames surrounding them!

A mixture of passion and hatred flooded their minds, squashing what had previously been fear and weakness.

As The soldiers charged the swarm of zombies, they repeated the slogans of the little boy that started all this

"Die! For the village, all of you must die!"

Back to Dante.

Dante could still be seen flickering around the Mumbling Terror, attacking it when any opportunity presented itself.

But this sort of fighting style where he slowly wore down the opponent was making no progress!

every time he managed to damage the Mumbling Terror, the creature would scream, causing more and more zombies to rush towards it, allowing the creature  to absorb them and healing itself of all damage

Dante had had enough. He couldn't let this continue!

His spirit energy reserves were ridiculous, but they weren't endless!

In addition to the expenses spent towards his fighting, Dante also had to maintain his dragonified form whilst also supporting the Domain of fire that was surrounding all the villagers and Rebecca.

whether he wanted to admit or not, all this was taking its toll on him.

Left with no choice, Dante grit his teeth and went all out.

Like many times before, Dante's figure flashed as he appeared right in front of the creature. Dante plunged his sword straight into the creature's chest, but unlike the other times, Date didn't back away!

Like a madman, he continued to surge his fire energy into the creature, attempting to incinerate creature from the inside out!

But things could never go this easily.

Soon the skin on the surface of the creature began to wriggle.

Bulges and strange protrusions slowly started forming on the creature's skin, before countless hands burst out from the creature!

The hands began clawing and wrapping around Dante as the zombies began to scream.

Dante could hear them. The corpses were trying to pull Dante inside; they trying to make him one of them!

Instantly alarmed by this development, Dante stimulated the one thing he was yet to use,  his blood!

His blood surged as his body began flashing in a wave of silver and a familiar silver moon could be seen rising into the sky.

The moon glistened as countless bolts of pure silver energy hurtled down from the sky, blasting apart the endless arms surrounding him.

But even this wasn't enough. The arms seemed to be endless. Any arm he destroyed from the creature was instead replaced with two more!

Dante could still back away, but this was the best plan he had to defeat the creature.

Even if he ran away now, he would be back trying this again so there was simply no point.

It was now a contest of who would give first.

But as Dante was thinking this, he saw a depressing sight.

Portals began to open on the ground surrounding him that released zombies that surged into the Mumbling Terror!

"You Damned Corpse Master!" Cursed Dante

"Kekeke! It wouldn't be any fun if I let you break my toys now would it?"

The zombies were constantly being crushed and absorbed, regenerating the parts burnt to ashes by Dante.

But Dante didn't back down, he couldn't back down.

His body exploded in flames as he burned.

He didn't stop there, however, as Red and silver energy particles surged towards his mouth.

"Huh? what is this!"

for the first time, the Corpse Master began to grow nervous.

The aura he was feeling from the boy now wasn't normal. It was way past the Martial Journeyman realm that the boy was in.

It was approaching the Martial dept realm!

sensing the Corpse Master's nervousness, Dante chuckled.

"Dont tell me you thought you're the only one with some new tricks?" asked Dante mockingly

"Let me show you a trick of my own!"

as soon as the corpse Master heard this alarms went off in his head!

"Boy stop! you can't destroy my-"

But before the corpse master could do anything, a draconic roar shook the sky!

"ROAR!"

A terrifying breath attack surged from Dante's mouth. The regenerative abilities displayed beforehand were nothing before this attack.

its defenses were completely obliterated as the breath burnt a hole straight through the creature's chest.

In the end, Dante's attack had blown away enough of the creature that a dark Crystal was now visible deep within the creature.

As Dante saw this crystal, he was left stunned.

It was beautiful.

a smooth crystal with a perfectly geometrical shape, with a deep mesmerising black that seemed to suck in all the colour around it
