Harry Potter and the Attack of the Squibs

Chapter 36 Malfoy’s Female Companion

Harry couldn't help but laugh, and Hermione turned around and hit Ron on the head.

"I'm just doing what I'm good at. Harry also has things he's good at, and so do you."

Ron smiled and nodded: "It's a pity that number divination is not what I'm good at..."

Hermione turned away from him and said, "You can trade it for Quidditch."

Ron shook his head quickly: "No, no, no, forget it."

Harry smiled and turned to look around.

The short street was full of Hogwarts students, almost all of whom were acquaintances of Harry: because they had participated in the secret Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Everyone looked happy, and the atmosphere made it easy to forget that Death Eaters were still wreaking havoc in the wizarding world.

Until Harry saw Malfoy.

He looked gloomy and sneaky, not knowing what he was doing.

In an instant, the atmosphere changed from happy to suspicious. Harry could not take his eyes away from Malfoy. It was not until Malfoy disappeared behind the corner that Harry came back to his senses.

Ron gave Harry a strange look: "What are you looking at?"

Harry shook his head.

He didn't know what Malfoy was doing, and he didn't want Hermione and Ron to worry. Besides, the Marauder's Map was right next to him, so there was no need to worry.

After the three of them finished shopping according to Hermione's plan, they walked into the Pig's Head Bar together.

Although it seemed like a dangerous place that few people came to, after coming here last school year, Harry and the others were sure that it was not dangerous and that it was just out of sight.

They sat together at the corner table, and Hermione pulled out the list.

"Okay, I have basically got all the important things. I still have a few things that I can only buy when I go to Diagon Alley."

Ron looked at her and shook his head: "You forgot the most important question, how much money was spent."

Hermione was stunned for a moment: "Money?"

She quickly looked down at the list, calculated it at a very fast speed, and then let out a long breath.

"It's enough."

Ron shook his head: "That's not the problem. You used your own money. Where did the money come from?"

Hermione suddenly said, "You mean this? Don't worry, it'll be fine."

Harry couldn't help but say: "This is very important. The things you buy are used by everyone. Of course, you shouldn't be the only one paying for it!"

Hermione sighed helplessly: "Well... I'm actually working for the Shafiq family privately now..."

Harry was stunned for a moment, but Ron had already reacted: "Johanna's family? It is said that the Shafik family is now the most profitable among all pure-blood families..."

Harry shook his head: "Since Johanna is helping, there should be no problem... But are you too tired? We still have so much homework..."

Hermione smiled and shook her head: "Of course I only work during the summer vacation, and I don't actually make much, it's just enough to buy these things."

Ron showed a curious look: "Does your job involve divination using numbers?"

Hermione shook her head: "I am responsible for analyzing the tendencies and positions of officials within the Ministry of Magic. William wants to be the Minister of Magic. In addition, the Shafiq family's business also requires dealing with many Ministry of Magic staff."

Ron and Harry both looked shocked.

"That's why you know that there are many people in the Ministry of Magic who can't stand it and have resigned..."

Ron nodded: "Unfortunately, my father works at the Ministry of Magic. I will definitely not be able to do this job."

Hermione shook her head helplessly: "Don't be silly Ron, this is just a job with ordinary income. I only got the salary of an intern, and I didn't earn much at all. We didn't buy much at all. There are so many things I I have to cross it off the list..."

Ron shook his head: "That's a lot of money... You know if the three of us split it equally, I wouldn't be able to get my share."

Hermione and Harry both looked extremely embarrassed.

They knew the situation of the Weasley family. Although Ron won the lottery in the second grade, which improved their family's situation, the family raised seven children and was still extremely poor. Ron had never touched gold. Garen, although he didn't care about this as much as the twins, but for Hermione and Harry, this matter was placed directly in front of them, and they still didn't know what to say.

Ron looked up and thought: "I really can't think of any way to make money..."

Harry shook his head: "You don't need to make money, Ron..."

Ron suddenly laughed: "I thought of it!"

"I can make money playing Quidditch!"

Harry was a little confused: "How to do it?"

Ron smiled: "You know Luna's dad is the editor-in-chief of The Quibbler, right?"

Harry nodded, then shook his head: "The Shafiq family are still the owners of the Daily Prophet..."

Ron smiled and shook his head: "You don't know wizards, Harry. They don't read Quidditch tactical analysis in the Daily Prophet. I'm going to write an article in The Quibbler and see if they want it."

Harry couldn't help but laugh, and he looked at Hermione a little doubtfully.

Hermione shook her head helplessly: "I didn't know that wizards like to read Quidditch tactical analysis in that magazine..."

Ron shook his head: "Okay, let's put my share aside for now and wait until I make money."

Hermione nodded helplessly: "I think you were too rude to Lovegood?"

Harry shook his head: "She can see if what Ron writes is useful."

Hermione snorted: "She knows Quidditch better than me."

Harry smiled helplessly.

Just as he was about to say something to cheer Hermione up, Malfoy walked into the bar.

The three Harrys turned around together. They originally thought they would see other wizards, but they didn't expect that Malfoy and another Slytherin girl were walking in.

Malfoy was shocked.

He looked at Hermione, hesitated, and pushed away the girl next to him who obviously liked him.

The girl glanced at Malfoy in surprise, and then she noticed Hermione not far away, but before she could do anything, Malfoy pushed her out of the bar.

Harry couldn't help but smile: "Malfoy is very popular in Slytherin, right?"

Hermione nodded: "Slytherins value family background. If you include Voldemort's power, the Malfoy family is now the most powerful pure-blood family in the entire wizarding world."

Just then, Malfoy came back.

He walked up to Hermione, as if he hadn't seen Harry and Ron at all, and looked straight at Hermione: "She and I are just ordinary friends..."

Hermione smiled: "No, I want to congratulate you. It's a good thing to have a girlfriend."

Malfoy shook his head: "She and I are not what you think!"
