Harry Potter and the Attack of the Squibs

Chapter 61: Trial of the Minister of Magic

Umbridge looked at Dumbledore motionless, and then her trademark smirk appeared on her face.

"But what if I want to find a new professor and use her office?"

Dumbledore smiled: "That won't be a problem. I have found a new Divination professor who is willing to live on the first floor."

Umbridge's voice became sharp: "I remind you, Dumbledore..."

Dumbledore nodded: "You have the right to choose a professor, but that's when the principal can't find a suitable candidate."

Dumbledore glanced at Umbridge, then turned around: "But this time I have the right person."

At this moment, Lu Ke and a horseman came over from the direction of the Forbidden Forest.

Everyone looked at the silver-maned centaur with surprised expressions.

Harry smiled in surprise.

Dumbledore nodded: "This is Firenze."

After the farce ended, the three of them followed the crowd towards the hall. On the way, Harry asked Hermione in a low voice: "What did you mean when you said you guessed it at the beginning?"

Hermione shook her head: "These are actually... things that only people from the Ministry of Magic can study, that is..."

Ron shook his head: "As long as what you say is useful, we won't hate it because of where it is used."

Hermione couldn't help but laugh: "Well, this is a very common way to create authority."

"That is to say, when a decision is made, many people discuss it privately, but when a decision is announced, there can only be one person."

"That way, the person will be more likely to be obeyed."

Harry shook his head: "Is it necessary?"

Hermione nodded: "Of course it is necessary, especially when faced with the threat of mysterious people. We can only rely on Dumbledore to make decisions many times."

"Do you remember Mundungus?"

Harry nodded casually.

He certainly wouldn't forget that if the man hadn't gone AWOL during the vigil, Harry wouldn't have been attacked by the dementors.

Hermione sighed: "If Dumbledore is gone, not only will he not continue to work for the Order of the Phoenix, he might even join the Death Eaters!"

Harry nodded silently.

Hermione was right, Harry absolutely believed that Mundungus would do this.

He shook his head: "So Lu Ke deliberately disappeared at such an important time just to make everyone more willing to believe and rely on Dumbledore?"

Hermione nodded.

Harry sighed: "But are there any wizards in the world who would doubt Dumbledore?"

The three of them fell into silence together.

A centaur divination class professor obviously excited the students at Hogwarts. They were looking forward to taking Firenze's divination class, but unfortunately, the three Harrys did not take the divination class at all.

But there is something more noteworthy than this.

One morning, Hermione looked at the newspaper that had just been delivered and fell into silence.

Harry looked at her a little worried: "What happened?"

Hermione sighed slowly: "The Ministry of Magic...has begun."

Harry and Ron came together and saw the news on the front page.

"The Wizengamot is going to try Fudge?"

This is simply unimaginable news.

First of all, the Wizengamot has no power to judge the Minister of Magic: all their trials require prosecution by the Ministry of Magic.

Secondly, Fudge cannot be tried: unless he has been confirmed as a suspect and automatically no longer serves as Minister of Magic.

"Isabella Strange's supporters have taken control of the Wizengamot..."

Hermione shook her head: "Why did the mysterious person suddenly do this at this time..."

Harry and Ron looked confused: "Didn't he not be able to do it before?"

Hermione shook her head: "During the summer vacation, I always thought that the fight had already started, but I didn't expect that they ended up in a stalemate. This can also be explained by the fact that the mysterious man is not powerful enough to control the Ministry of Magic..."

"But looking at how things are developing now, the mysterious man must have been prepared for a long time, but he didn't do anything because of who he was afraid of?"

Ron smiled: "Who else could it be, of course Dumbledore."

Hermione was silent for a moment, then nodded: "Dumbledore does have time during the summer vacation..."

She shook her head and changed the subject.

"Now that the Wizengamot has expressed its stance, I'm afraid things will soon develop into a direct confrontation. We will have news to watch in the past few days."

Harry and Ron nodded casually.

Even though it seemed like something they had always known was important, they couldn't convince themselves how important it was.

Everything inside Hogwarts was what they were most worried about.

For example, Umbridge's revenge.

"Umbridge seems to have done nothing so far. Did you guess wrong?"

Even though Ron said this, the fact that he said this meant that Ron now completely trusted Hermione's judgment.

Hermione shook her head: "She should have already started to act."

At the same time, Umbridge was standing in the corridor on the underground floor.

She walked to the painting on the kitchen door and waved her wand: "Open the Alaho hole!"

But the oil painting was indifferent, and there was even a malicious chuckle coming from the plate of brightly colored fruits.

Umbridge finally gave up with a sullen face. She reached out and touched the pear on the portrait.

Then the pear turned into a green doorknob.

Umbridge opened the door and walked in.

She stood in the doorway and looked around.

It's a very spacious place, but it feels very small because it's packed with all kinds of stuff.

In the narrow space that the wizard could barely squeeze into, the house elves were busy coming and going, making it a lively scene.

But in Umbridge's eyes, it was chaos and noise.

She raised her wand and shouted, "Quiet!"

The house elves glanced at her casually, then continued busy.

A flash of surprise flashed across Umbridge's face, and then it turned into anger.

"Look at me! You worms in the wizarding world! Dirty low-lifes!"

The house elves glanced at Umbridge again, then continued what they were doing.

There are voices everywhere. They are constantly complaining that the speed of washing, cutting and cooking vegetables is too slow and the level is too low. There are "Lu Ke" and "Lu Ke" everywhere.

There were even quarrels.

"Lu Ke said that pig lung soup requires absolute seriousness. Why prepare this dish for an ordinary dinner? It's a waste of time!"

"But he is obviously cooking this dish himself, isn't that a waste of time!"
