Harry Potter and the Attack of the Squibs

Chapter 29: Raising suspicion

You must know that the horseman placed the spear and bow and arrow in front of Lu Ke, and the implicit meaning was that Lu Ke could not use the magic wand in this battle.

But based on the experience of centaurs and all previous Hogwarts students, they will never give up their wands.

Lu Ke exceeded all the horse people's expectations.

Some centaurs who were watching even shouted excitedly.

After all, Lu Ke's move to block the arrow with his spear just now was too powerful.

Ronan ran back and forth on the grass, looking at Lu Ke uneasily.

This is an opponent I have never faced before.

But the fighting instinct completely dissipated the only thoughts.

Ronan shot arrows at Lu Ke like heavy rain.

The sound of bowstrings was like the continuous sound of rain.

But Lu Ke was also charging towards Ronan at the same time.

He was not wearing the black robe he usually wore, but one of his only two clothes, a suit that fit him perfectly.

Compared with robes, this set of clothes is much easier to move around.

Like a shadow, he missed the arrow and rushed towards Ronan.

Incredibly fast.

Ronan gave a battle cry.

Danger excited him.

Lu Ke's movements can already keep up with those of ordinary adult centaurs.

Ronan almost didn't hesitate and rushed towards Lu Ke.

He opened the long bow with both hands and shot an arrow at Lu Ke. Without even looking at the result, he threw the long bow to the ground and took out the spear from his side.

But at that moment, the victory or defeat was over.

Ronan stayed where he was.

The tip of a spear was just in front of his throat.

The hand holding the spear belonged to Lu Ke.

Lu Ke put down his spear.

"Sorry, instinctive reaction."

Ronan was stunned for a moment before he reacted.

He stood there and sighed.

"You passed the first test."

Then he turned and picked up the bow and arrow from the grass behind him.

Several other centaurs came over, and they gathered around Lu Ke with sighs on their faces.

“If this test is easy for you, the next one may not be.”

Ronan walked up to Lu Ke and nodded: "You need to know how to observe the stars and see your destiny clearly."

Lu Ke's heart instantly became cold.

It's not that he hasn't thought about this possibility, after all, horse people are unabashedly enthusiastic about astrology.

But this was the most dangerous possibility that Lu Ke had ever thought of. He thought that if the test just passed, it would be over.

The silver-maned centaur walked towards the edge of the grass on one side: "Follow me."

Lu Ke and other centaurs followed.

They walked into the shadows of the woods, crossed a path, and finally came to a clearing.

There is a stone pillar here.

The silver-maned centaur stood under the stone pillar and nodded to Lu Ke: "Tell me what you saw from the starry sky."

Lu Ke nodded and walked under the stone pillar that the silver-maned centaur moved out of the way.

The location of this stone pillar is very clever, because when Lu Ke stood where the horseman was just now and looked up, the top of the stone pillar was in the direction of the North Pole.

Polaris shines brightly at that location, but its brilliance is not obvious.

Lu Ke tried hard to recall the contents of the astronomy he had studied since the first grade, and then tried to find something related to the centaurs.

Lu Ke can probably recognize the stars in the sky, including the five major planets, the Milky Way, and important constellations.

But now there are not so many stars that Lu Ke knows in the sky.

He decided it was time to start planning.

"Mars is exceptionally bright tonight."

The centaurs turned together and looked at the southern sky.

A trace of embarrassment flashed across Lu Ke's face.

Even if he is not very good at astronomy, he still remembers that Mars is at the level of the five major planets, the foundation among the foundations.

In Hogwarts in winter, it is impossible to see Mars wandering to the south.

But the horse people looked at each other, but did not directly say that Lu Ke was wrong.

"So do you think this portends anything?"

Lu Ke hesitated for a moment.

“Inevitably bad things will happen, and they’re all around us.”

Ronan glanced at Lu Ke, with a look of dissatisfaction on his face.

The other centaurs also had different expressions.

The silver-maned centaur looked down at Lu Ke: "The stars don't reveal things so close."

Lu Ke shook his head: "But this incident is just a ripple caused by a more important and longer-term event."

A fierce quarrel immediately broke out among the other centaurs.

Obviously, they didn't think Lu Ke was right, but they still felt that Lu Ke was partly right.

"Unavoidable bad things, he saw the nature of the stars!"

"But this is not enough for him to pass the test. Centaurs will not be so rash!"

But there are also horse people who think this is enough.

Lu Ke had a hunch that if nothing else happened, the quarrel between the centaurs could continue until dawn.

But of course, according to Lu Ke's plan, other things will happen soon.

A centaur rushed over in panic.

"That guest!"

Ronan walked around on the ground angrily: "The guest is here, what's wrong?"

But the guest the centaur was talking about was obviously not Lu Ke.

"That guest drank the blood of Dionysus!"

Ronan immediately showed an angry look: "Greed! I have long thought that he is a person with evil intentions!"

But things are more troublesome than all the centaurs thought.

"Where is he?"

The centaur who came to report the news shook his head: "Already left."

Ronan roared angrily, and then rushed towards the spring.

The other centaurs followed, and the last silver-maned centaur turned around and said to Lu Ke: "Follow, the tribe has been treated rudely, and we will definitely take revenge."

Lu Ke followed helplessly.

Although the centaur ran very fast, Lu Ke tried his best and was not thrown too far away. After all, the distance was not far.

Standing next to the spring, Ronan didn't see anything he wanted to see.

Quirrell had left.

He turned around and glanced at Lu Ke: "It's amazing, you foresaw this."

Then an uncomfortable silence spread among the centaurs.

"It just so happened that when he came, you came too."

"The foals in that castle can't go out at night!"

"What did you just say together?"

Ronan almost growled.

The other centaurs were also walking angrily, and the sound of horse hooves was as disturbing as muffled thunder.

Lu Ke sighed helplessly: "I know that person, but I don't think what you think..."

"you have not?"

The horseman interrupted Lu Ke without hesitation.

"There's no way a foal can have that kind of power, unless you have help from others, cheating!"

Lu Ke was speechless. Now that he was like this, it was useless for him to say anything.

Quirrell's behavior completely exceeded Lu Ke's expectations, which also put him in danger.

"This is different from what was promised, Lord Voldemort..."
