God's Eyes

1038 Might of the strongest Armament

"Traditional fistfight, with weapons, or only artillery?"

Jennifer had never seen Jason fight with his fists alone, and neither was artillery his forte.

After all, the power he had was mostly concentrated in his body, and he didn't really require any guns or other means to fight.

His teleportation technique in addition to the weapons he mostly used were more than powerful enough.

"Let's have a traditional fistfight then. Through this, we can avoid causing a lot of destruction as well!" One of the female Demi Gods remarked.

She was relatively calm, contrary to Jennifer, who was quite astonished.

However, ason just nodded his head before walking towards the other end of a small encirclement spanning over a few kilometers.

They would serve as the borders of the arena Jason and the two Demi Gods would use to fight.

"Though, I cannot promise not to destroy anything in the surrounding. The arena's ground seems quite fragile!"

When the two Dwarves heard this, their eyes flicked to Jennifer briefly, before their gaze returned to him and they began laughing.

"Even Demi Gods cannot damage these grounds, so don't worry."

The brief exchange of glances made the two Dwarves misunderstand their friend.

Jennifer had smiled wryly, which the two Demi God's had interpreted as if she was embarrassed about Jason trying to show off.

Little did they know that Jennifer hoped that Jason would hold back, and not destroy everything.

But unfortunately, she knew him way too well.  Thus she only shook her head and waited for the fight to begin.

He released divine energy, and his skin color changed completely.

Following that, his feet transformed too changed, and a ten-meter-long tail grew out of his body.

Petri had undergone a Soul fusion with him, taking a mere second before the two individual existences had turned into one entity.

A moment later, a faint bluish metallic hue enveloped Jason's serpent tail, and spikes pierced out of the scales, only to be retracted a moment later.

As moonlight divine energy coursed through the tail, Jason further enhanced it before smashing it on the ground with all his might.

Meanwhile, the activated soul armament of Petri was doing its work, enhancing the impact and endurance of the Cursed Basilisk's tail.

With an ear-piercing sound, the simple movement of his tail smashing on the ground, attracted the attention of the nearby beasts as they ran for their lives while rubble, dirt and pebbles flew through the surroundings.

Small cracks formed around the area of impact, while a small lowering could be seen the moment Jason lifted the tail.

"Ready?" Jason just asked, his bright smile hidden under the black scales that covered his entire body.

'So. If I wish to focus on physical strength, I should use…this set, right?'

With multiple sets of soul armors and weapons bound to him, Jason had the choice to pick out the most suitable set to fight against the Demi God dwarves.

This was quite interesting because it would be possible for him to gain an advantage over everyone else he was fighting.

That would be the case as long as he could choose from a wide variety of weapons, armors and other soul armaments to outweigh the equipment of his opponents as well as their fighting style, countering them perfectly.

With that in mind, Jason's entire body was suddenly clad in a tight dark blue metal armor that seemed to merge with the black scales of Petri.

It enveloped nearly his entire body, barely leaving space for the face and hands to be open and unprotected.

The radiating energy of numerous runes could be sensed from the armor, clearly indicating its ranking that was, at least, of the Demi God grade!

However, that was not all as Jason lifted his hands that were covered in black scales, followed by several layers of bandages on top of it.

At first, this looked weird, but the bandages were made out of some sort of threads that were flexible yet weirdly hard.

Jason could change their sturdiness at will, but that was not the reason for wearing them.

Instead, the bandages covered his knuckles properly, and a unique constellation of runes emerged.

Bumping his fists together, he issued a tremendous shockwave followed by two weaker ones to follow suit, each from one of the bandages.

Sensing the power behind the shockwaves, Jason smiled a little, knowing that he didn't use a single trace of energy to use the 'Twin Impact' effect which was the constellation he had inscribed on the bandages.

It was only one of many constellations he used, thinking that it was perfect for close combat, or fistfights to be precise.

"You…created that yourself!?" The Demi Gods asked as even more Dwarves were attracted to the products Jason had created.

They were fully aware of how difficult it was to inscribe constellations of hundreds of thousands of runes on small objects.

Only their best and highly-skilled inscribers were capable of doing something like this.

Yet, Jason's armor and weapon of choice which he created all by himself seemed to be of even better quality than what most of their prodigious blacksmiths had been able to achieve so far.

It didn't even matter that the reason for his capabilities to create such products was his eyes or the fact that he could purify metals to 100%, which made it much easier to inscribe more runes in a tight space.

What mattered was the fact that Jason could do it, and not how!

Never having seen or heard of soul weapons, or armaments, the High Rulic Dwarves were astonished by the deep connection they could sense between Jason and the equipment he was wearing.

At will his mana and divine energy surged through the equipment, activating the specific abilities he wanted.

Every single High Rulic Dwarf would love to be capable to do something similar.

Thus, even the Demi Gods opposite him couldn't help but swallow nervously.

'Are we really fighting him?!'

Even if their mind was in a mess right now, they had agreed on fighting Jason, and backing off after giving their word was akin to cowardice which was unacceptable to the High Rulic Dwarves.

If they were to back off, they would be subjected to ridicule and humiliation by their own race, for years. Hence, they quickly summoned their armors and gauntlets preparing themselves for a hard fight.

Ready to fight only a minute later, all of them nodded at Jennifer, who started the countdown.

"3..2..1…Fight!"

Upon hearing the start of the fistfight, the two female Dwarves shot towards Jason while circulating mana through their lower body.

Exerting their movement technique, their acceleration reached a new high which allowed them to cross the distance towards Jason within seconds.

Yet, even if they had expected Jason to be powerful, they couldn't believe what they saw a moment later.

Without the use of any kind of affinity, the young halfling disappeared from their sight.

Only remnants of moonlight divine energy coursed through Jason's body and his boots.

He had exerted the adjusted Hermes Celeration technique followed by the [Instant Blast] runic constellation which he had inscribed in his boots.

Through the instant blast, and his body leaning forward, Jason was able to reach a shocking speed in an instant.

Following that, his altered movement technique made it possible for him to further accelerate, reaching a much higher speed than the Dwarves could reach.

Without the slightest bit of delay, the runic constellation in his shoulder began to gleam, only for the same to occur on the bandages around his right hand, as he punched out.

An ear-splitting sound boomed through the surroundings the moment Jason hit the center of a Dwarf's abdomen, only for a second, barely weaker impact to follow suit.

While the first impact nearly pierced through the armor that blocked Jason's attack, the second impact destroyed the armor before hitting the female Dwarf directly.

She was flung away, causing Jason's eyes to widen in astonishment as he had not expected his attack to be so power-packed.

However, just a moment later, he was hit by the other Dwarf, who had aimed at the side of his waist.

Fortunately, the runic constellation [Impact reduction] worked passively, forwarding only half of the impact.

But even then, Jason flinched as he was nearly overwhelmed for a second.

Yet, instead of being flung away, or feeling perplexed, Jason's left hand lunged out instinctively.

A moment later the solid bandages began to move and enveloped the arm of the Dwarf, Jason's hand was tightly grasping.

It was as if the bandages had suddenly acquired a mind of their own, but that was not exactly the case.

Rather, it was the [Marionette] runic constellation that he had inscribed into the bandages which was behind this.

Through them, he could tightly hold on to the dwarf before issuing a second attack with his right arm, while preventing the female Dwarf from escaping.

At this moment, the winner of the battle was crystal clear.

Simultaneously, Jason felt somewhat cruel after he issued the hit.

This made him loosen his grasp on the Dwarf, allowing her to slump to the ground before he looked apologetically at them.

'I…should heal them quickly, right?'

Knowing the answer to the question he had asked himself, Jason started to work without throwing a single glance at Jennifer, who was staring daggers at him.

Yet, while helping out, and using various affinities to heal the Dwarves he had just bullied, indirectly, he got a pretty great idea!

'Yep, impact absorption and energy absorption are really a necessity…reflecting the absorbed energy would probably be quite decent as well…' Jason just thought, tweaking the constellation he wanted to inscribe on the God's Halo once again.
