Back For My Daughter

549 Wake Up, Little Qi!

In a place which appeared to be like that of an old town like that of in the 1990s.

A boy of about 10 ran towards a beautiful woman who appeared to be no less than 30 years old.

She could be considered a beauty and along with her simple clothes attire of a shirt and trousers.

With her hair tied into that bun while being ornamented with a hairpin made of simple bamboo and a bird design.

The woman's hair was long enough to reach her thighs.

Her thin lips along with a pleasant light in her eyes gave energy that would make anyone who see her full of happiness.

"Mom, look I am back from school!"

The little boy exclaimed while snuggling into his mother's embrace as he threw himself into his mother's arms.

"Haha, weren't you away from me just for a few hours, how come you look like you are crying?"

The woman pecked her lips on the little boys' head as she dressed his face with her eyes filled with love and care.

If one were to see her face, all they would feel was the tender love and affection that the mother had for her son.

"Mom, I won't go to any school, I don't want to be away from you for so long."

The little boy shook his head with great effort and then cried while looking into his mother's eyes.

His eyes were welling up with tears as he seemed to be deeply feeling bad.

"My child, did anyone bully you, let mom come with you to teach those kids a lesson."

The smile on the woman's face vanished and a serious expression overtook her face.

"UMMHMM."

The boy shook his head and then pulled his mother towards the sofa.

"No mom, no one did anything, I just don't want to be away from you for so long, it makes me feel sad."

The boy shook his head and then placed his head on his mother's lap.

"SIGH"

The woman sighed with a wry smile on her face and shook her head.

"My little one, how will you learn and get some nice work if you don't go to school, and ain't mom always going to be with you, why would you cry if you just didn't seem for a few hours?"

The mother said while caressing her son's hair with a loving smile and helping him remove his shoes and buttons of his uniform.

"But, Mom, I don't want to leave you even if it's just a few hours, I feel like it's been days since I meet you."

The boy shook his head and said with an ardent face.

"Hehe, I don't know what to say, what will your wife think if you are like this and always cling to your mom and cry like a baby for me?"

The mother giggled while pinching his nose.

"Mom, how can I marry, I am still your small son."

The boy blushed as his cheeks turned a bit red and he didn't look as ardent as before.

"Hehe, see now my baby boy is shy."

The woman chuckled and then pulled him into her embrace once again and making him sit on her lap.

"Yes, no matter what, you are my small sonny."

She then gave a light peck on his head and then made him take a small nap on her lap.

After what seemed like a couple of hours, she called out.

"Little Qi, wake up, aren't you feeling hungry?"

"See, mom has made your favourite stir-fried chicken and soup."

While the boy was sleeping the mother called waiting to wake him up.

"Yes, mom, just a few minutes."

"Wake up Little Qi, don't you want to eat?"

The boy had already said, but his mother seemed like she had not heard him at all as she called for him to wake up and have lunch.

__________

"Wake up Little Qi!"

"Mom, just a few minutes."

"Hey brat, it's noon now, don't you want to have lunch, the girls would already have had their lunch till now!"

Ye Qian had mumbled while still being in a daze when he heard Grandma Yan's voice who seemed to be amused as well as sighing at the same time.

"Huh?"

Ye Qian opened his eyes and noticed that he was still sleeping on his mother's lap just that the place and time had changed.

"Mom."

He didn't lift his head but only turned to look at her face.

While being stared at by her son with a dazed look, Grandma Yan felt that something was not right.

"What is it Little Qi, do you want to have some other dish, I will make one for you right away."

She quickly asked.

She knew that her son loved the food which she made, and now that things had turned back to normal, he might have wanted to eat the food made by her after longing for so long.

She was eager to make anything for her son in order to see the fresh and wide smile on his face as he ate the dish made by her.

"No mom, I just missed you a lot."

Ye Qian mumbled while he reached his hand and caressed Grandma Yan's cheeks.

Though Grandma Yan looked the same as before to Grandpa Xiao, Yuan Meng and others, it was not the same for Ye Qian, since he was the one who had cast an illusionary spell around her so as to not attract some unwanted attention.

Right now, even if Grandma Yan looked not much older than Yuan Meng or Ning Wei, others were only able to see her like how she looked a few days ago, with the only exception of a bright look on her face which was due to her being happy and delighted.

Of course, she had a radiant glow on her face due to her son being back with them.

As Ye Qian looked at her face now and compared the face which he had seen just two days ago, it ached his heart.
